Chasity Boston

Hi, I’m the founder of Washful Hands,

Washful Hands was created from a simple but powerful belief: Every child deserves clean clothes, dignity, and confidence. For many families, laundry is something small. But for some children, not having clean clothes can affect their self-esteem, their school attendance, and even how they’re treated by others. I started Washful Hands because I saw that something as basic as clean clothing could make a life-changing difference.

Our mission is simple:
Hands that help. Clothes that care.

Through compassion, community support, and practical service, we provide laundry assistance to children and families who need it most. We believe that when a child feels clean and cared for, they walk taller, smile brighter, and feel seen.

Washful Hands isn’t just about washing clothes — it’s about restoring confidence, protecting dignity, and showing children they matter.

Thank you for being part of this mission.

My Story

I grew up in Dallas County, and for most of my childhood, we didn’t have access to a washer or dryer. Many times, I had to hand wash my clothes and hang them up to dry — or even iron them dry — just so I would have something clean to wear to school the next day.

I know firsthand what it feels like to want clean clothes.

I remember worrying about how I looked. I remember hoping my clothes would be dry by morning. I remember understanding, at a young age, how something as simple as laundry could affect your confidence. When you don’t have clean clothes, it impacts how you show up — in class, with friends, and in the world.

Those experiences stayed with me.

I am proud to say I am a product of Dallas County. The community that shaped me is the same community I now want to serve. Washful Hands was created because I never forgot what that struggle felt like — and I don’t want other children to feel that same burden if we can help.

This nonprofit is more than laundry. It’s about dignity. It’s about confidence. It’s about giving children one less thing to worry about so they can focus on being kids and building their future.

Giving back to my community isn’t just something I want to do — it’s something I feel called to do.

Thank you for supporting Washful Hands and helping us bring care, compassion, and clean clothes to the children of Dallas County.
